In this series, Jack and Annie travel in their Magic Tree House to explore many different times and places。 You could read books in this series out of order and understand。 In this story they encounter ninjas。 The author has written nonfiction research guides (Fact Trackers) to accompany these books。 I have not read it, but #30, Ninjas and Samurai, goes with this story。 This could be a great way to tie it into facts。 Grades: K-2 read aloud; 2-4 as an independent read

This one was kinda boring, honestly。 And it felt somewhat disrespectful to the ninja culture from what I know about them。 I did like Peanut (the mouse); but other than that, there wasn’t much that happened。 I’ll continue because it’s bringing back memories from when I was younger and I do like that the author narrates it, but this one just wasn’t it for me。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 I thought this book was overall an amazing novel, due to the fact that it has something to do with ninjas。 This book was important for my childhood。 Overal phenomenal book。

I find it too short。 I can't find any exciting part。 The movement of the story is so fast but it was worth the read。 I can't wait to read the next book -- maybe there will be a continuation。 Thanks。 I find it too short。 I can't find any exciting part。 The movement of the story is so fast but it was worth the read。 I can't wait to read the next book -- maybe there will be a continuation。 Thanks。 。。。more

Night of the Ninjas and Afternoon in the Amazon are related。 Because the person who owns the Magic Tree house - Morgan - she is the brother of King Arthur。 And under a magic spell。 Jack and Annie have to find 4 things and each book has one。

My first graders adored this as a read aloud。

This one starts a new mystery for Jack and Annie- What happened to Morgan? This time, they go to medieval Japan and learn about ninja and samurai。 This is, like the others, a good adventure with good illustrations。 The question of what happened to Morgan is pretty obvious to me, but to a kid, it may not be, and either way, it is still a fun read。 The non fiction companion is Ninjas and Samurai: A Nonfiction Companion to Magic Tree House #5: Night of the Ninjas This one starts a new mystery for Jack and Annie- What happened to Morgan? I liked that Annie and Jack found their way back to the tree house when they were far away from it and that they were a rock。 It made me feel like that would be kind of cool if I could do that in real life。 It was just really fun reading it。

The 5th installment of the Magic Tree House series - my kids love this series! In this one, Jack & Annie travel back in time to feudal Japan。 They have received a message that Morgan Le Fey is under a spell and needs them to collect 4 things to help save her。 They end up guided by ninjas and manage to escape some samurai (this story makes the somewhat odd choice of making the samurai the bad guys to be escaped, and the ninja into the good guys that help them escape)。 They get a gift from the nin The 5th installment of the Magic Tree House series - my kids love this series! I liked reading this book as a child because I always imagined being a ninja when I grew up。 As for the read it is simple and something easy for children to read。

This is a great book。 It is about a great adventure through nature that Jack and Annie have together as siblings and have to face some ninjas

Genre: contemporary realistic chapter book Grade levels: 3, 4,5 Review : I believe this book is great for children who like adventure with a bit of mystery involved。 The words used are also a great way to expand children vocabulary。
